You have a question? Read our FAQ
Do you ship outside of the United States?
At this time, we only ship within the United States due to customs regulations and the perishable nature of many of our products.
If you have a friend or family member traveling from the U.S. internationally, they may absolutely purchase products for hand-delivery. Most of our cookies, smoothie mixes, cocoa, and mocha products remain fresh without refrigeration for up to 10 days when stored in a cool, dry place.
For longer storage, products may be frozen airtight for up to 6 months.
Can my husband, partner, or kids eat lactation products?
Absolutely.
Our products are made with nutrient-dense ingredients like oats, flaxseed, brewer’s yeast, healthy fats, fiber, and B vitamins — ingredients that are beneficial for almost anyone.
And no — your spouse will not suddenly start lactating. (If science proves us wrong one day, we expect partial credit.)
Which product works best for increasing milk supply?
The single most important factor in milk production is frequent milk removal — nursing, pumping, hand expression, skin-to-skin contact, hydration, rest, and reducing stress whenever possible.
Our products are designed to support that process nutritionally, not replace it.
Many of our recipes are inspired by traditional postpartum foods and ingredients that breastfeeding mothers across cultures have relied on for generations. This isn’t “magic milk dust.” It’s nourishment that breastfeeding mothers have historically needed and often lacked support receiving.
Many moms find the best results come from combining our lactation cookies with hydration-focused products like tea, smoothies, hot cocoa, or iced mocha blends.
How many cookies should I eat?
If you’re not currently using other lactation-support products, we generally recommend:
- Days 1–2: 2–5 cookies daily
- Maintenance: 1–3 cookies daily afterward
Many moms also see better results when pairing nutritional support with:
- power pumping
- additional nursing sessions
- skin-to-skin contact
- increased hydration
Every breastfeeding journey is different, and results can vary depending on hormonal, medical, and feeding factors.

Are your products safe for food allergies or dietary restrictions?
Many of our products can accommodate common dietary needs, but please read ingredients labels carefully before ordering.
Our products may be:
- dairy-free
- egg-free
- gluten-free
- nut-free (some)
However, all products are prepared in a commercial kitchen where cross-contamination with allergens is possible, including nuts, dairy, wheat, and eggs.
Please also note:
- Most baked goods contain sugar and/or honey
- Ingredient lists vary by product
Can I consume lactation products while pregnant?
If you are pregnant and not currently breastfeeding, lactation products will not automatically make your milk come in prematurely.
However, many traditional lactation products contain herbs like fenugreek, which should generally be avoided during pregnancy unless approved by your healthcare provider. In rare cases, fenugreek has been associated with uterine contractions.
If you are pregnant, have gestational diabetes, or have medical concerns, please consult your doctor before consuming any lactation-support products.
Are your products safe if I take medications or have medical conditions?
Please consult your healthcare provider before using lactation-support products, especially if you:
- are pregnant
- take prescription medications
- have thyroid conditions
- have diabetes
- have hormonal or endocrine conditions
Some herbs and ingredients may interact with medications or medical conditions.
What happens if my order is delayed, lost, or arrives damaged?
Because many of our products are perishable, shipping delays unfortunately can happen beyond our control.
If your order arrives damaged or appears lost in transit, contact us as soon as possible and include photos, and we’ll help you file a carrier claim and work toward the best possible resolution.
We take great care in packaging every order to help products arrive safely and fresh.
Can I cancel or change my order?
Because products are baked and blended fresh to order, cancellations are only guaranteed before production begins.
Orders may generally be canceled within 2 hours of purchase for a full refund.
Need to make a change after that? Reach out anyway. If your order hasn’t entered production, we’ll always do our best to help.
Do you offer gift options?
Yes — our products make incredibly thoughtful gifts for new and expecting moms.
If your order is a gift, leave a note during checkout and we’d be happy to include a complimentary personalized message.
Do you offer wholesale or bulk ordering?
Yes.
We work with select retailers, postpartum professionals, and specialty shops on bulk and wholesale orders.
Please contact us directly for pricing on orders over 20 units.
How quickly will my order ship?
Most orders ship within two business days. You’ll receive tracking information as soon as your package is on the way.
Are your products FDA approved?
Our products are food products, not medications or pharmaceutical treatments.
They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
Will your products guarantee an increase in milk supply?
No lactation product can ethically promise guaranteed results.
Milk production is influenced by many factors including hormones, latch, frequency of milk removal, hydration, stress, sleep, medical conditions, and postpartum recovery.
Our products are designed to nutritionally support breastfeeding mothers — not replace professional lactation or medical care.
What makes Milky Wave different from other lactation brands?
The Milky Wave wasn’t created in a corporate boardroom.
It started in the kitchen of an exhausted mother who was desperately trying to breastfeed her baby and felt like she was failing — but refused to give up.
Everything we create is rooted in real postpartum experience, traditional nourishment, and the belief that breastfeeding mothers deserve better support, better ingredients, and products that don’t feel clinical, sterile, or guilt-driven.
This brand was built by a mom who has been there.
Please consult your healthcare provider before use if you’re taking any medications or have a medical condition.
